I once had a Cold Steel Folder, it was a small folder about 3" blade legth, the blade was Tanto in shape but was also available in clip point. Mine was plain but serration were available. I was a liner lock a very robust lock CS literature showed a test where a bunch of weight plates were hanging on the handle with the blade in a vise. I was a great little knife and sharp as hell i beleive mine may even have been of laminated steel (San Mai?).

It may have been called the Ultratech or something like that.

I would LOVE to have another of these if anyone has a source

Thanks

Welcome Geoff!

I used to have one of those too a long time ago. And it was of San Mai. I wish I still had it.

You might want to post in the Knives Wanted forum and see what happens. Good luck to you.

Yes what you have is an Ultra-Lock. It was in the special projeect catalog for a while and then droped a few years back.

I still have my Cold steel ultralock tanto. It's a 3" hollow-ground blade about 1/8" thick with a nail nick but it also opens by thumbing the grooves on the back of the tang, and snaps into place with a liner lock that looks like the predecessor of Microtech's microbar. I carried it clipped right front IWB as my 'subway security'.

Don't even ask. I wouldn't part with it. I would love to get a spearpoint, though.
