Hi All,

I'm in the market for a new pack the Junglas pack fits the bill. Now for my dilemma. What color to get? I like both the OD and Khaki but I'm wondering which color would attract less attention from the California sheeple.

Anyone have these colors and notice a difference?

Thanks

Victor

i like the khaki myself, its a neutral color to not alarm folks and still blends well in many environments.

@shotgunner11, in your best Wesley Snipes voice.

@cricketdave, yeah I was leaning that way for that those very reasons.

@texastonydobbs, I have a slight preference towards OD but I really like the Khaki as well.

Blue.

Really, just pick the one you like the best. Everyone sees black every day, but khaki and OD are really common too. The way you carry yourself will draw more or less attention more than pack color IMO. :D

less attention? any color as long as you remove/cover up the esee skull logo.

Thought about it all day and pulled the trigger on a Khaki pack.

Thanks to those who responded.

sheeple in general are not very observant... however sometimes they can be annoyingly curious.

as long as it's not camo and doesn't have interesting stuff in the outside (knives, mag pouches, etc.) i wouldn't worry about it too much. a bunch of my gear is OD, but tan or coyote has always been harder to find until recently. i'm in the desert, so given the choice i'd lean towards tan/khaki/coyote/fde. i try to avoid black for my outdoors gear because it really sticks out.

While I do think the patch is cool. This is one thing that I think calls to much attention to the pack. It would be fine out in the jungles maybe where no one cares about a skull and 2 knives. But in more public areas it may raise eyebrows. But thats just my .02. I think one with the same logo on it as the knives would be idea.

vchacon, congrats on your order. Hope to hear your thoughts and see some pics when your pack shows up. I'm trying to decide on one of these as well :)

You could always just say that ESEE is a metal band - they'll nod and walk away... ;-)

I like black but it seems to make me feel hotter when hiking in the sun. I like lighter colors

@tarditi, HAHAHAHA great idea... I'll say that's the name of my Grunge-Metal-Peruvian fusion band.

@smclown05, I'll post some pics when I get the pack.

Two derisive mentions of "sheeple" on a thread where a guy can't choose the color of his pack without help from the masses? The irony is thick here....lol

Most packs turn khaki over time after you put trail miles on em anyway. I met a guy that spent 5 weeks in the Frank Church Wilderness as he was coming off the trailhead. His pack he bought brand new for the trip was bright red when it was new, but between the bleaching from the sun and the dust it picked up on the trail, it was dry earth khaki. Even after 303ing my blue and gray Maverick, it's starting to turn khaki. I don't think dry earth will attract much negative attention at all, it's a very natural color-Gregory has that bland gray tan color they use on much of their packs-there's alot of civilian gear that comes close to that color.
