What constitutes a "curio" knife in PA?

I am thinking about purchasing an OFT auto knife for collecting purposes only. I would NEVER carry it outside my house. The model I am looking at is no longer in production. I guess it is legal to own an auto in PA, but illegal to carry it unless you are a police officer or military officer?

(b) Exception.--
It is a defense under this section for the defendant to
prove by a preponderance of evidence that he possessed of
dealt with the weapon solely as a curio or in a dramatic
performance, or that he possessed it briefly in
consequence of having found it or taken it from an
aggressor, or under circumstances similarly negativing any
intent or likelihood that the would be used unlawfully.

a curio is generally a decorative or antique item. in this case perhaps a blade with an unsharpened edge soley for display.

PA seems to be alittle more open than Morimotom feels. I agree with his reading of the law, but there was an arrest at a gun show where a PA State Trooper bought two switchblades from the dealer ( who had about 40 on display) and then arrested the dealer. The dealer was from out of state ( NY). The judge dropped the charges and returned all the knives under this defense section. That said , I have hunted in PA and unless it has chaged recently, you can buy full auto guns and silencers if you pay the transfer tax.....I guess knives are not that much of a concern.....

I was just at a gun/knife show in PA and a dealer was selling autos. I picked one up and asked about the legality of selling them in Pa. He said they were collectible and that was the only reason he had them out. These were new Boker AK-47s and they were sharp.
