A couple years ago I found a wierd looking knife in a parking lot. (OJ's?..heh) naaah...it is a scimitar shaped blade by Western of Boulder Colorado. Have used it for just about everything from opening boxes to cutting paper and salami.

Sharpening it last night and noticed that it appears that there were pictures either etched or printed on the blade. Under the old staining, it looks like possibly a fish. There are also other images that I can't make out. Could have been a filleting knife with that exaggerated curve. Curve is like a Muslim knife.

There is a number F39 on the hilt. Handle is what looks like aluminum with some sort of black spacers of either plastic or hard rubber. The knife and tang are all one piece.

Anyone familiar with what could have been the picture on the blade?

Lavan,
You should ask this question on the Camillus forum since Camillus now owns Western.
Good collecting !
