Was about to pull the trigger on a AD15 for my birthday until I read the blade isn't the best for slicing. The next CS folder I want to buy will be a working/carry knife. It needs to cut zip ties, shrink wrap, twine, rope, straps etc. I don't want a tuff lite, I want a medium to large knife. What knifes should I be considering? Thanks Gents!

Hollow ground models such as Code 4 and recon 1 tanto come to mind. The voyagers aren’t too shabby either. They used to make more models with hollow grinds that can be found on the 2nd hand market like the American Lawman, Recon 1, and pro lites. Broken Skulls were also thin.

the one with the thinnest blade stock and full flat ground or a deep hollow grind will be the sliciest.....which that is i dont know.....

but you could have one of the talented blade makers here that do regrinds, do a regrind and get what ya want....

remember its all geometry.....

I just recently received an XL Talwar and it seems pretty slicey compared to other CS folders I have. Opps! I just seen the smaller size mentioned I think CS also makes a smaller Talwar as well. Good Luck,
