What currently unproduced variants of BM knives would you like to see or buy?

I'll start off with I think that Benchmade is one of the few companies that actually tries to make something for everyone. Lots of variations, limited editions, vendor exclusives, etc. that produce many variations of a knife. For me, there are a couple that I would like to see and would probably buy, if they came in the steel, handle material, style, etc. that I like. Three that come to mind are:

1. I love the design of the Nimravus, but would like to see it in steel other than 154CM. I would buy one for sure if it was in D2, and would seriously consider one in M390 or even S30V.

2. I would buy more 710's, if they came with scales other than black G-10. This is such a fantastic folder, and I like the steel choices that have been made available (D2 standard, M390 and M4 limited editions), but I'd buy another one if it came in orange G-10 or a digi-camo G-10 scales.

3. I would consider buying another griptillian if it came in steel other than 154CM. I mean the standard 551 with clip point blade. I know there are so many variations of this knife already available. I like my orange 551, but would prefer it in S30V, M390, or D2.

Other things that come to mind are optional sheaths like kydex vs. leather. I know everyone has their hot topics of knife designs, and I'm curious as to what others would like to see as a variant of an existing production BM knife.

I like how the 530 and barrage are starting to show up in more colors and steels, and I'd like to see them get as prevelant as the grips.

After getting the knifeworks limited grey and black grip, I'd really like to get a matching 530 :)

It has been offered in M2 in the past. Search theBay and you may find one.

His name is Keyman. He's a member here and he makes incredible scales for the 710...

Ask and ye shall receive... Customize-a-Griptilian Your choice of 154CM, N680, D2, or S30V, with a myriad of handle colors to choose from.

If they were available at production prices, I would want a 730 and an 805. I might even buy a new 913. I already have a somewhat beat up 913 so I would settle for being able to buy a good user grade 805 at a reasonable price.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, the 950 Rift in M390 (with standard Black/Grey G10 scales). I'd settle for it in D2 or S30V as well. The 950 is absolutely perfect for me with the sole exception of the steel and I really hope they permanently upgrade the steel on the basic model like they did for the 940 and 710. I'm not a big steel snob, but the 154cm on mine absolutely refuses to hold an edge at the geometry I prefer (30 deg, mirror polished, maintained with a strop) and my 8cr13 tenacious can.

Aside from that, I'm also waiting for the next time the 940 gets offered with G10, CF, or titanium scales at non gold class pricing. The finish on anodized aluminum is just too fragile for a knife that's going to ride in the same pocket as my keys.

Regular production G10 Griptilians!

(Somebody had to say it.)

That would be nice. Would want to upgrade the steel on that grip also.

I'd enjoy seeing a Presidio without the pants-eating ridges and in an upgraded steel (S30V, CPM-M4, or M390).

I'd also enjoy seeing a Barrage 581 without the assist and with other colored scales.

1. Regular production G10 Griptillians

2. More G10 BM530s

3. More Carbon Fiber on production knives.

Stonewashed uncoated blade Adamas.
Carbon fiber handled Grip or a reg production G10.
Titanium handled Presidio anodized, maybe an Olive Drab green

+1 on the G10 Griptilians

I also would like to see some Adamas variants.., uncoated blades, different colored handle scales. Maybe OD scales and a stonewashed blade or some similar combo.

Also would like to see the 375 without the serrated spine and would love to see G10 scales made available. I'm like the knife, but I'm not a fan of cord wrapped handles.

I'd like to see the 975 make a come back

940 in G-10 or Micarta or Carbon Fiber

1. 710 with the blade shape of the 707 (more belly, less recurve)
2. Gripys with thin G10 scales (too bulky)
3. Bring back the Aries series

Bring back the 942 (the reverse tanto grew on me like fungus, but sometimes the green and purple is a bit much).

1) More non-black G10: brown, gray, blue, green, red, ...

2) Less "Benchmade humps": The hump in the handle at the transition to the blade spine on many Benchmades. Prime example being the 710. The hump is where my thumb would naturally rest.

3) More M390

4) More blade grinds like on the Mini-Onslaught: high flat grind, tapered towards the tip, reasonably thin at the edge
