Ok, so we have threads like this about production knives, and non-custom specific, but what about our Knifemakers?

Sure, they have their own sections, but I want to know what Custom knives You are thinking about commissioning!

This has caught my eye:
10 1/4" overall
5 1/2" blade
5/32" O1
False top edge
Tentative name: The "K" Bowie

The best part is (aside from the awesome looks), John will customize or tweak the knife to your specs.

What about you folks?
Are you contemplating a new custom? If so, what is it?

I have been feeling an itch to have a nice 5" blade dagger, recently. That, or a big D-guard bowie for my civil war reenacting
 
Got one in the works...but an unfortunate injury has caused a delay. (Not concerned about the impact on my knife; just hoping that the injury heals without complication)
 
I have a Feather Damascus with mammoth fixed blade ordered from Alan Davis...it’s gonna be my Christmas present...it should be a close match to a folder I got from him earlier this year...

I hope that your 'Maker heals up quickly and completely.

I hope to see some pics of these completed. They all sound fantastic.
 
I am looking forward to a Gravelle knives F6 in 3V. Should be a very nice little blade.
 
I put a down payment on a DDR AAM custom balisong. Mine will be the only one with steel handles.

I would love to buy a wharncliffe fixed blade made by MK. But I doubt I will ever have the xtra money to do so.
Also being a hobbyist knifemaker I really should make it myself.
But I lack the skillls he has.

I only have one knife in mind for commission: a "modern" 1909 Bolo. Same size, same chisel grind. Updated handle shape. Some appropriate powdered steel and grip material.

I have some intentions to go after a few custom folders but none by commission, either because the maker is no longer making knives or because I can get them cheaper/quicker by buying what is available.
 
I have a Custom Dozier Little Workhorse due some time next month.
Tip up, titanium build, custom milling etc. I cant wait. Even asked him to make me a belt sheath for it. Super stoked.
 
I have a HK Basik due by Christmas. I am getting some super snazzy acrylic handles on this one.
 
I’ve got a “neckmuk” on order from JK that I’ve made some tweaks and changes to. Probably 6-7 weeks out. I’ve been eyeing a few others but I haven’t landed on one that i want to fork over the money for.
