What did 1SKS do to upset these people?

What happened to upset these people over at microholics.com? http://www.microholics.com/boards/Forum2/HTML/000666.html

I was over there (yes...I am a member) to homework the new MT LCC and saw this post and it kinda' caught me off guard. My dealings with 1SKS and Mike and Spark have been nothing but professional and upstanding. Am I missing something or are these guys alittle jealous?

Well, two obvious points:

Mike has complained about MT's clearly illegal price fixing before. So if anybody from MT is on that forum, saying they're going to be biased against him is an understatement.

Two, MT junkies do a lot of buying/selling/trading...and many were doing so for free on a scale clearly "dealer level" here on BF. Mike and Spark decided they couldn't support dealer activity for free, and I can see their point. Running a site on the enormous scale of BF in terms of bandwidth, disk space and server stability is a serious undertaking.

End that "free ride" for these smaller dealers didn't make them very happy...even though the BF banner ad prices aren't very high at all.

In terms of actual business ethics with their customers, I've yet to hear of a reasonable complaint. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to do business with them. Yes, they use BF to generate sales of their own business but not to the exclusion of their competitors...they take ads from people in direct competition and give them fair rotation. Any other dealers are free to fire up their own forums any time they want to but they won't have Spark, possibly the best UBB webmaster around

This "Ursa" character is one of several "aliases" that "suddenly" popped up, said we'd somehow done them wrong and then subsequently disappeared again. There are a few more aliases like this that came out of the woodwork at the same time, badmouthed us, then went away again.

I contacted each of these suppossed customers, trying to find out the details of just how we had offended them and what I could do to set things right, and never received a reply. From any of them.

Since none of them had an actual name to go by either (hmmmmmmm).... and since we're not showing any people in our system with those email addresses, I strongly suspect that they are trolls.

You'll note that all of these "former customers" came out about the same time that another forum site debuted, and 99% of them are in the San Francisco / LA area.

This is also the same time that certain individuals were trying to start a "Boycott BladeForums!" movement - and the same time that several individuals and / or dealers took it upon themselves to contact our customers and badmouth us. We also received first and second hand accounts from customers stating that we were called just about every name in the book, not to mention racist as well as dishonest.

Draw your own conclusions. If that's how certain people want to do business, so be it.

It's been our policy that if you have a problem with us we'll do whatever we can to fix it. If we screw up - we'll make it right. We're easy to work with, if you give us the chance.

But we can't fix customer problems if we don't know who the customer is, or if the customer doesn't exist in the first place, know what I mean?

The person behind that post and using the name "URSA" is a nother dealer who happens to be in California. If "URSA" would like to come out of the closet and idnetify himself, we would be happy to find out what the problem is. But as we suspected from the start, there is no such person and it is a front for a particular dealer who seems to have a problem with 1SKS.

We know who the dealer is and the individual who posts under those names Spark mentioned. We just chose to take the high road and not fall into their trap. Our service for being a 5 month old dealer speaks for itself. The main problem we are having now is trying to answer the flood of emails we get, but we have worked that out as well and you should notice a remarkable difference in a few days.

BTW The person named Ferret (David) on the other forum's only beef with 1SKS is because we do not ship orders to Austrailia if they are not pre paid via MO or wire.

Yeah, we apologize for any inconvenience that our No Overseas Credit Cards policy causes for any of our non-US customers, but after losing several thousands of dollars due to international credit card fraud, we had to make drastic changes.

As soon as Paypal International comes online will be accepting that as a form of payment for all international customers - we understand how much of a pain in the butt it is to use Wire-Transfers or International Money Orders.
