First I bought it to use. But figured this was the best place for someone to tell me what I bought. I'm guessing it was a blank and someone rehandled it but what are your thoughts? Here is a link to the Ebay listing .

Hi from Australia, you should have asked questions first.
You should also look at this:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-to-spot-em!-Post-2004-Schrade-Replica-Knives
Then with the knowledge, that this was an old unfinished Schrade blade - you could have found a New Old Stock PH1.
The $80 knife you have now, will be a very good knife to use.
For another $10, you could have had a "Schrade knife made in the factory". Perfect for a collector or user... Ken.
These PH1s are selling all the time for about $80 t0 $90.

Ken, I only paid $40 and I wanted to get one I could use and not feel bad about so this should work. I'll use it for awhile and if it doesn't feel right i'll hand it down to a great niece or nephew since they are getting old enough to hunt and fish. Thanks Lenard

Lenard, As I said above; the blade is a USA made Schrade blade and it should make a very good user... Ken.
