I found a Schrade that I've never seen discussed anywhere. I got it at a flea market this weekend. I'm hoping you guy's can tell me what it is, and may give me an idea of the value of it.

It's Schrade Cutlery Co. Walden, NY. It has two blades that open using a button, and a slide that locks the blade. It's small at a touch over 3 inches. It has black and yellow swirl celluloid scales. And on the small blade it has some patent dates. Any information ya'll can give would be great. When I saw the Schrade Cutlery Co. Walden, NY tang stamp I decided it was worth picking up. I hope I didn't spend too much on it.

The cut is from the 1938 catalog, but your knife could have been made much earlier. It sold for $20 in 1938. They go for a little more, but you don't want to show it around just anywhere; check the applicable laws.

Wow, pretty interesting. I guess the spring that is supposed to pop the blades out is broken. The blades don't pop out on their own. You have to help them a bit to get them out. So, basically, what I have is an early two bladed switch blade if I'm reading this correctly. Did Schrade make a lot of these? Or, are they pretty rare?
