What did I get myself into?

I just acquired a Victorinox brand Gardener knife from the pawn shop for $4. But I didn't really pay attention to the fact that it's got a chisel grind edge and I really don't know how to sharpen such a beast.

Sharpen the ground side until you have a burr, then strop from the flat side.

I likes me a chisel grind, because they are easy to sharpen. Wish there were more of them.

Yep, Shorttime is correct.

I have gotten my sharpest edge on the chisel grind blade of my Leatherman Squirt, and that was after severally jacking the edge up on some metal twine. Rolled it right over. My Emerson has eaten the same material right up with a slight roll in the edge. Both were easy to fix, with the Squirt coming out sharper.
