OK i normanly collect only the 110
today (my birth day) my wife today gave me a buck i have not seen before....
it looks like a 119 BUT-
it has a blade like a 184 or a combat or rambo knife with saw cut on the back of the blade and stirated cuts on the black of the point makeing it a dubble edge ...
it has a parknised or bead blasted look to the balde and alu handle parts with a flat mat finish to the phonlic part of the handle...

it is marked custom and has a number 241 engraved on the back ...
it came with a 119 sheath in a box marked by hand as B11900 special

i dont think it is a 119 which the wife thought it was as it is stamped
'buck custom' ....
any one know what it is called - how many were made - when it was made and apx value?
i think she paid for it as if was a normal 119 at retail
ie: about 40 to 50 ish....

i cant post right now- no camara but will when i get it back...

...Hey Dave...It wouldn't possibly be one of those 639's would it??...Maybe "mis-marked" or somethin' ???

Joe told me the # may be a customer I.D. or an employee award on mine.

scott- it is exality like the top one !!!!! but in a 119 sheath ?
hummm did the wife get a good price? she is generly a good shoper ...

this was one i almost did not make and i never mind any one pulling my chain!!! again thanks to all my knife nut friends out there !
think i will keep this one for display below the 819 i have... wrong sheath and wrong box i will sell i guess will have to watch for one for sale...
oh yes what is the 639 custom worth off hand ... it is a keeper anyway as from wife but inquireing mind wants to know....
insurence issue= declared value and all that stuff under rider for collections ....
 
Not worth the money to ship it, BUT - I'll send you $10.00 for USPS Priority to take it off your hands.... gotta make room on the shelves for your growing collection of 110's ya know.....

sorry gypsy.... i realy think it has lots of semental value as from my wife that has at times has not had very much nice to say about them

"that better not be another buck knife!" and my personal fav -
"lets see if you can eat that buck knife!"
so it would not mater if you offered 200 ....
it is the issue of that she got me some thing for me that i like reguardless of what she thinks of them...
she is the greatest = my wife and best friend!!!:D

You best make sure to keep her, Dave, because it's a rare woman that'll knock a guy's hobby, then, realizing that it brings you happiness, will bring you more! ;)

First, Happy Birthday! This must mean you are now officially older than dirt! :D I think we can all relate to the comments you attribute to your wife pertaining to Buck knives showing up in the mail. For her to turn around and not only buy you one for your birthday but to actually do some research and come up with a custom speaks volumes about how she really feels about you. You realize Dave that you can probably go out and at least get a few more before you will be threatened with really pissing her off again (you see how I think?) My wife says that "At least you don't smoke, drink or run around chasing women." Ya gotta love em! :thumbup:
