Seller was not sure about this, except it is Camillus. Has a bird one one side and some kind of plant or foliage on the other.
Production, hand made handle?

This knife appears to have a new handle that was installed after the knife left the factory. The blade is from a military knife. I sent an email to the seller on Ebay and I told him that the handle did not look original and the original handle was made of leather.

That's what I thought, but for $10, I can do a lot with it and not care about any destruction that occurs.

The blade WAS Marine Corps issue as in "Kabar" fighting knife. In original condition it would be worth many times what you paid.

Sorry, my bad. After studying the three I have, if it ever was a kabar, yours has had extensive stock removed. Here's a shot of an original. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g23/DodgeForge_photo/DSCN0398.jpg At least 3 different companies made these for the Marines; Camillus, Conetta and Kabar. The first were by the Union Cutlery Co. during WWII. The were called Ka-Bars and in 1952 Union Cutlery changed their name to Kabar Cutlery. There are very subtle differences between the three, but essentially, they are the same.
