Looked like a nice one! I missed that too.........I never saw one that had a latch AND a bail both. All I can tell you is bid more next time, or let me know about it!

They're a nice little balisong that dates back to the 1940s approximately. Nicely made but not much to manipulate. They usually have ivory, MOP, or celluloid inserts.

You do not know how high they would have been willing to go. Looks like he bought it to resell though, why don't you ask him what he wants for it if your still interested.
 
Well the seller did contact me, but wants $90.00 shipped. I think that this is a little high for me, but if anyone else want's the info, email me.
The seller said that he bought it because it was a Carl Shleiper. He has bought many of them, but this is the only butterfly style he has seen. He has a buyer that collects Shleiper knives and has bought over $12,000 worth of them off of him.
