I had the privilige of spending a day and a half at a private ranch in Texas. He stocks rainbow trout in the winter, which I assumed were all gone by now, but to my surprise we caught these two 19 inchers. That was saturday, so on Sunday morning we woke up and went to seperate hunting stands and I bagged this boar. Somewhere in the 200lb range I'm told, but exceptional tusks. I'm pretty proud of that one, since I got it on about a 130 yard shot with a lever action 30-30. Anyway enjoy the pics. Oh yeah, to ensure the survival worthiness of my post I did start our bonfire with my flint steel! I'm getting the head of that boar done in a European mount, so I'll post pics when I get it back. That covers me, what did you do this weekend?
Right after the catch.

On a stick with his buddy.

Dressed up for dinner.

The native's blade is just over 3", so pull that lower lip down and those are roughly 3 1/2" tusks.

No world records, but I had a pretty good weekend!! Double click the photos for a slightly larger view.
