...I had a great Christmas Day. The family was all together and I had a ball with my kids and grand kids. The food was terrific, I ate too many of those darn cookies and I got some really neat "stuff" as a bonus. I thought about what to toss in my pocket before heading out to the kid's house and decided on a 112 drop point. I figured with all the boxes I'd be cutting open I'd need at least a bit of blade to take care of that nasty tape and paper...LOL...It made confetti of the wrapping paper, boxes and tape...it also did a super job on the cheese and salami...:D :p

My Brand spankin new Buck strider 882...
I love it so far! The blade never dulled, and it (along with the serrations)
made short work of all the *%$^$#$ Blister packed and tie wrapped toys for the kids!!

A Buck 110 (and Spyderco Police SE) for opening packages, and Leatherman Wave for cutting wire ties on all those toys, and putting everything together. Musta opened 100 battery covers today- you know the ones with the tiny phillips head screws.

As usual, I was the only one there carrying either a knife or multi-tool.
(By the way-I did all the cutting!)

...LOL...And no matter what, after a while everyone ALWAYS knows you are the one to ask when they need something cut or snipped...:p

My AG 110 S30V made short work of plastic packing, boxs and lots of tape. I also, had my 296 Tempest in the pocket...it got to help a little to. The grand kids like to see the blade flip out ;) .

An Alaskan Guide 110 was on the belt in a horizontal sheath from last years Wally 110 tins. It saw minimal use. A 121 and a 470 were the main attraction when the 18 pound bird and 10 pound porker were being sliced.

Of all things..... The 12 year old grand daughter produced one of those little almost round Buck whitaker things, to slay the wrapping paper on her presents.

The 174 was in a back pocket but wasn't called on for active duty.

And same 12 year old grand daughter shot a nice 8pt this afternoon. Her Dad used a 110 on it.

Was a good day for Buck knives and family fun.

My trusty Buck Mayo TNT as always. And you're right...after a while everyone knows who has the knife when one is needed. ;)

SAK Officer for unscrewing d*mned battery compartment doors that are on all toys now a days & my mini CQC-7 for carving up toy boxes & cutting off tags.

Yep Darryl...you're right...peeps know who has the cutting tool.
I had to wear grown up clothes. So no 119 or other FB sheath.
Tossed between Five-0's favorite TNT, John's AG, or my BG-42 Golden Eye.
Since it was family, a discreet belt sheath seemd ok.
It was the BG-42 in a horizontal genuine Corinthian cordura sheath that was used to cut up samples of bbq prime rib, misc boxes, and that gawd awful new plastic stuff that all things sold on racks seemed to be packed in.

chris reeves small sebenza to open most of the good stuff, swiss army for those battery doors as well.lol:thumbup:

532 (BOSS BG42)! Made short work of all the packages!

Upon using it and handing to others to use, I believe it may be too much of a knife for Xmas. Next Christmas I will bring a Prince or something similar. Everytime I handed it to someone I feared they would drop it and sever a toe or something.... !! There were lots of kids around also and as pointy as that is...

Dudes, does this make me a buckaholic - talking and planing what knife to bring for next Xmas...?

Buck/Mayo TNT...S30V never missed a beat...in our house all had their own knives out to open presents with...Dad, Joe, Sarah and my son Josh all carry the Mayo as well.

...and pack rat..congrats to the granddaughter...was it her first buck?? (the deer I am talking about...hehe)

Ya know...you sometimes can't see the forest for the trees.
So many times there are posts of what "we" EDC. I never thought of asking the Buck family.

TNT. Too cool for school.

Well Darrly, I was ,and still out here in the Gulf of Mexico working on
oil rig.I cut some ty-wraps with my 2005 christmas tin 110.
Also cut some more grass rope.
We had hamburgers for lunch so no carving was done.

I carried a Buck 303 with the 'plastic' Pearl handles that I used to open a disposable camera for my sister and a Spyderco Native that did not see any action, but was ready if needed, LOL.;)

I used a new 371 Stockman that a friend gave me for restoring an antique Winchester rifle for him.
