I went to the New York Custom Knife Show today and immediately headed for P.J. Tomes's table. There I bought one of the terrific Tomes-designed production knives--a $150 single-blade trapper of D2 steel and jigged bone. Outstanding fit and finish with a very strong backspring. (The thumbnail enlarges twice--click on the first enlargement to enlarge even more.)

Knice knife!
I didn't buy anything....yet....going back tomorrow :D

nice score! I am gonna have to miss it again this year, but I am definatly goijg next year and hopefully bringing a wad of cash to spend, lol...Ill start saving now...

Picked up a little fixed blade from Brent Sandow.

It's really nicely designed, nice thick stock but the Sandvik blade itself is thinned out quite a bit... Scales are my favorite color, and price was pretty nice, $160.

Really wanted a R.Hinderer XM-18, though.

Strider SnG..after all the fuss about me going with a Crawford KFF..they didn't have any.
Will use and beat on this

Great looking knife. I like the color of those scales. What are the blade and handle lengths?

(garageboy) i think i got the only kasper at the crawford table;a fileworked framelock flipper, with engine turned(jeweled) handles & blade.its on the crawford website. it blows away everything else i have !

Blade is 3 1/4" and overall 7". It fits my hands so nicely, and it is nicely finished, but definitely a workhorse and not a safe queen. It's a shame this maker hasn't gotten more notice.
