OK, I'm bored, so here is yet another what knife .........

What knife did you last use, and what did you use it for?

When I say last used, that's exactly what I mean, what was the last thing you actually used a knife for? Not just picked up, or sharpened or put in your pocket, actually used.

For me:

Victorinox Alpineer.

Used it to pry the seal off the top of a bottle of Ilium Nabudone, an analgesic anti-inflamatory, so I could insert the syringe and draw off 5 mils to inject into one of the horses.

I used my large Sebenza 21 to open up a package that came in from knifeworks. There was a Spyderco Caly 3 in the package.

I used this last night to prepare dinner, actually, it's the only knife I have been using lately.

Gossman PSK Sr.

I used my ringed razel last night to chisel off some splintered wood on 4x4s in preperation for some horseshoe pits.

I used my Emerson CQC-15 to cut my wife's pill in half. It may sound like over kill, but it does a great job and I get two equal halves 98% of the time.

I used a Swamp Rat Rat Trap to cut the tape on a shipping box containing a Busse BAD.

I used my small wood inlay classic Sebenza this morning to open mail and to cut away packaging materials.

Edited to add: and I'm going to use it to cut a cigar in just a couple minutes. :)

Me and the wifey went out on the town last night. :D So I carried my damascus large Sebbie, and when we got back I opened some diapers. Then cut the box up for the recycling bin.

Now about to Don the "nice beater," (ZDP endura 4) and do more honey do's.

This morning I used my large classic Sebenza to open a box containing a fan and to cut packing tape to box up some knives I shipped out on the way to work.

This morning I used a Bradley Alias I to cut the top off of the cat's meaty food box. This way I can just reach in and grab a pack (or just gives me something to cut :D).

I used a Bailey Custom last night to cut up a grapefruit for my wife. It didn't have any problems getting through the skin or the fleshy part. ;)

I used my Alsdorf slimline to cut open some boxes and then to open up my finger. It was the wharncliff blade that got me.

I used my Benchmade 710S to cut the string and burlap off rootballs of trees we planted and then to cut open bags of mulch.

ZDP 189 Leek to cut an apple into chunks for my breakfast, and then cut down some cardboard for recycling.

Benchmade Pika yesterday at work. Used it to cut some plastic wrap off a pallet of cardboard displays.

Yesterday evening, I put together a free standing punching bag and was assisted by my bb/ps, BM Mini-grip. The foam linings (used for the inside of the punching bag section) needed some size adjusting and my Mini-grip helped make the frustrating assembly a bit easier. Putting that bag was ONE, BIG, PAIN IN THE REAR! But the Mini-grips ROCKS!
