What did your SAK / MT do today?

Alright everyone, the SAK bug has bitten me hard and luckily it's among the less pricey end of what I normally buy in single blade folders :o. I've always carried either a Leatherman on my belt, a SAK in the pocket, or some form of knife on me since I can remember. We all know that multi use tools are able to be applied to several applications in our day other than just cutting stuff. So since I was unable to find a similar thread in this sub-forum I wanted to add one:

What did your SAK / MT do today to earn its keep?

Last night my SAK Electrician helped fix the auto timer switch that went out a month ago. I haven't had the time (and when I do it's always when the stores are closed) but yesterday was the exception. With my Electrician in hand and a "want" in mind to put it to some real use I went to Home Depot and found an identical in size auto timer and brought it home. My trusty Electrician (and my wife) reminded me to shut off the breaker where I was working. THEN I was ready to work with my trusty Electrician and a flashlight in hand. The switch didn't stand a chance. Pulled off the cover after taking off the screws and using the flathead as a mini pry bar. The rest was all wing nuts and putting it back together.

Used the Ole Bantam to crack open 2 Motorola Minitor V Fire pagers and swap speakers between the 2 broken pagers. Now I have 1 operational pager without sending it to Motorola where they charge 300+ bucks to do the same thing I did.
Did use the screw driver in the image. The pagers use MINI Allen head screws.

Had I thought of it, I would have taken pix of this episode. :(

About 3 hours ago, a parking space I needed was shaded by a densely leafed tree, normally a good thing summertime, but a bough had partially broken and was hanging low into where I was going to park my car. However, thanks to being a tall fellow, I was able to reach high enough to cut it clear. The thickish branch would have been a challenge for a knife blade, but my Charge TTi saw zipped through it just fine. Just so it wouldn't be a nuisance on the sidewalk, I also cut the folliage down a little before leaving the site.
Not much of a story, except this was the first time in months I had strapped on the Charge outfit, and that for no particular reason. My usual EDC this season had been mostly SAKs without saws. Somehow, I just felt like Leatherman this morning. Who knew this knifey thing had a mystical side to it?

I forgot to take pics, but a few days ago I used the tip of the nail cleaner on my Cadet to pull a stuck case out of he chamber of my 10/22. I also used the blade to cut a sandwich in half at a restaurant. It always amazes me how dull restaurant knives are.

I haven't had the chance to post this but a few days back (maybe a week or longer now) I had just purchased the Huntsman at a store. The following day my wife had this contender and asked if I had a cork screw. Little did she know I had secretly picked this awesome SAK up while getting a few groceries the day before. I pulled it out and acted like I've always had it (SAK's all look alike until you start getting custom colors, right?). The Huntsman went into action and saved my wife's thirst for the evening :D

This morning at work (Phoenix foundation), I had to diffuse a bomb, and had left my paperclip at home, so I used my tinker instead.
Nothing major, just day to day stuff ;-)

Any hopes of gettin' an autographed picture of you and your SAK? :D

My wife liked it a lot :) this and barefoot moscoto are her favorites. As for me, I don't always drink beer but when I do I prefer dressed up budlight :D

Thank you! I might check it out and BTW a cold Bud is hard to beat!

Got my money's worth out of my Leatherman Wave this morning. Went out to the property to hang a new tree stand. I used the knife, saw, and pliers for multiple tasks this morning. Sure beat hauling a tool bag up the tree with me. Having a paracord loop on it saved me a trip back down at least once while I was up there.
