So, today I went out and bought 150 feet of 550 paracord. What do I do now with all of it?

(Links are appreciated, hint, hint... :D)

Cord wrap your handles on your knives and find out what a truly personalized and truly grippy knife is. I have had knives that were okay that became great after I cord wrapped them.

Also, if you have a bugout bag (or plan to compile one), a good length of paracord is a great addition.

Cut it in thirds, twist the lengths together, heat, place on an anvil and beat with a hammer. Then you would have 50 feet of forged damascus paracord.

I don't like having things on my neck, but if I could stand it, I'd get a Victorinox Alox model with a keyring and keep it on braided paracord on my neck, so you could get a SAK with you all the time and have some paracord handy.

Well, this stuff is pretty cool.

I braided three 6 foot pieces together for my EDC pack; tied a sloppy monkey's fist for my SAK; added two simple lanyards to my Squirts, and tried a square braid fob for my keychain. Best for last: I wrapped my Mini-Maglight ala The Martialist. That is really cool. The grip on that flashlight is now something else.

I've made lanyards, I've added it to my EDC and will add it to my bugout gear, maybe I'll knit myself a paracord sweater like Gollnick suggested. That would be just ultra-cool. I bet it would be like armor! :D

I have the seat on my recumbent bicycle laced up with the stuff. Makes good lanyards, and one can always wrap throwing-knife handles with it, if you just have to have some sort of handle.

Neat! I got lots of Paracord now and am not sure wad to do with it. Hey cosine, how did you do that plead on your Maglite?

We use it in conjunction with ponchos to make shelters mostly. Also jerry rigging the cord with our slings for our weapons. Improvise handcuffs for EPWs, tie canteens and equipment off on LBVs, MOLLE, and LBEs, to make it dummy proof.

What ever needs securing, 550 cord is awesome.

Do you have instructions for tying those knots in the pic, or is that just a pic you had laying around?

Tying decorative knots is one of my hobbies, that's an old picture that I had around but I tied those and many more, basically the knots in these are called: Mathew Walker, diamond, rosebud, star, little lump and crown sennit, a bit too much to explain here, you may want to check these sites:
