What do I have here? Markings worn down.

Trying to get more info. The markings on the head are pretty worn down with a small circular impression about the size of a penny that is unreadable and the words "supersteel". Thanks

Sounds like it was made by Vaughan and Bushnell. A photo of an old stamp (V&B in a circle) with SUPERSTEEL written below:

Here is another example. The square around the circle is 5/8 inches.
