This is a neat little Kershaw my parents gave me years ago (15 or so). The blade is 2 inches long, with the cutting surface 1 1/2 inches long. Closed it is about 2 5/8"; open it is about 4 5/8". It has some nice scrimshawed mammoth ivory scales and is probably the classiest pocket knife I own. I mostly just wanted to show it off, but it would be cool if anybody knew its model name or number.

Size and shape look similar the current model 5000 2-1/4" lockback.
Only available in SS. Lockbutton is in a different place.
Well, it looked similar. Now it doesn't. Maybe Thomas knows.

They did a model 2120 w/ scrimshaw but it is 3-7/8" closed.
That model looks exactly like yours, only bigger
Walter Alexander scrimshaw. Only 250 were made.

Found some info.

I believe yours to be the Little Stud 2105

I found a little info. Page 4 of this .pdf. Next to last paragraph on the left.

It talks about different handle materiels and there being 3 different designs.
That might help date it.

here is an old ebay list also.

hope that helps.

Wow, great info, 2brothers. That's definately my knife on Ebay-- except mine has the mammoth ivory scales. I guess I could have looked at the number on the blade (duh) but it is nice to get a little history and such. Thank you for the research!!!!

It is possible that the scrimshaw was done "after market" (by an artist not commissioned by Kershaw). I'm not sure though.

It is indeed a 2105 " Lil stud " it is the newest design of these knives and the handles are actually water buffalo bone from thailand, this series continues to be one of my favorites. They even made some handles out of petrified wood and Jasper ( didn't they Thomas, LOL ) in my article that 2brothers provided a link to , I talked about three different styles, I have posted photo to show the three.

Cool! Thank you very much for the info. Not sure where I got the idea it has ivory scales. It is a great little "dress" knife.
