I picked these up from a guy who said he found them at an estate sale. He gave me a photocopy of a "warranty" IDing them as "White Tail Cutlery". The only thread I found here said that these were at one time, hand made, and then counterfeited a lot from the usual suspects overseas. I paid about what I would for 2 rough riders, but there's a lot of details here you usually don't see on the mass produced imports.
They seem to be in good shape, albeit a little used. A small crack in one of the bone(?) handles, and a couple places where it seems to have shrunk back at the corner near the nickel plating. Half stops, good snap one one, ok on the other. Either way, I'm pretty satisfied, though the knives are a little bigger than I usually carry, at a little over 4 inches closed each.
Does anyone know or recognize anything else about them? Thanks all. Oh, also, pics:
