Hi all. Just received my first HI khuk, a 25" Kobra. I was hoping you could help me decipher these markings. On one side I have the initials U.B. - a tribute to Uncle Bill? - and on the other I have three symbols. I don't own a digicam, so please enjoy this MS Paint rendition:

Any ideas?

The two symbols on the left are the kami's initials. The top right is the symbol for HI. The lower right is the kami's 'maker's mark'.

And the kami would be "Sher" if you didn't already know that.

Eric.

Welcome:)

I have a 25" Kobra by my bedside. ya know, just in case the ninja-viking-pirates are sporting a buckler I must hack through:D Everyone is spot on, and yes the UB stands for Uncle Bill.
