What do we think of the CR Mnandi?

I was wondering what everyone's opinions are on the Mnandi, re attractiveness, usefulness, and durability. Also, does anyone have any experiece with the durability of the wood inlays on the Mnandi or the Sebenzas? What happens when they get wet, etc...

Thanks

It is a great EDC knife, thin blade for slicing, upswept tip is particularly good for cutting up food items, pretty much the lightest weight 2.7 inch blade you will find. Framelock - 'nuff said.

Inlays - never heard of a problem. Mine has a special order buffalo horn inlay. If there was ever a material more prone to warping, I don't know of it (except fresh ivory). No problems on mine. I carried it almost every day for about a year.

Lately, it has gotten knocked out by another custom knife, but not for good.

BTW, pretty much the best clip design on the planet.

I love it. Good for EDC, an example of a nice gentleman folder.

I especially like how the blade is ground. Too sharp.

:)

What pushed me over the line was a thread I read just prior to attending Blade '02 in Atlanta in which the idea was put forward that the Mnandi could be carried in a breast pocket and appear as nothing more than a pen. This thought caused me to look upon the design in a totally new manner. I've carried mine almost every day since purchase and am totally satisfied....no post purchase regrets at all!

I had so many people ask to borrow my Mnandi, because I wear it clipped to my shirt pocket, thinking it was a pen. They always politely refuse when they find out they'll have to write with blood.... ;)

I love mine.Had it for over 1 yr.The tolerences on the wood inlay is amazing. If I only had the money I would get the large or small "woodie"
