What do you call this hardwear, and where can I find it?

What do you call this type of bolt and threaded cylinder combo that some makers use to secure their scales? Like the ones used by the ESEE, and BRK knives I have here:

I've been looking for some nice versions of these. Some that are decent looking and take an allen wrench, similar to the ones pictured above. But I've had no luck finding any, and I'm not quite sure what exactly this hardware combo is even called?

Any ideas?

I plan on trying my hand at knife making soon, and I kind of like the idea of having simple removable/interchangeable scales. I would also like to learn more about pinning, or is it peening? ...but I have no clue about how to do that just yet, where as I can handle the above pictured technique, if only I can find the propper hardwear. :)

Threaded standoffs/pivots and whatever kind of screw you find that you like. Check knifemaking suppliers, screws and folder parts.

Thanks guys, that is getting me closer I think.

Now I just need to figure out what the different numbers and measurements mean, and how to match them up??? :o Sorry, I don't have much experience with this stuff... Lots and lots of little things to figure out just to make a little knife!

The 3/16" diameter standoffs usually use 6-32 screws, 1/4" will use 10-24 or 10-32. You have to either pick a screw type/size or a size of standoff, then get the other part to match.

I think what you are looking for are called sex bolts. They are similar to binding posts. Here's a link to MSC Direct. Grainger also has them.
