What do you do about wrong sales threads?

With all the different models, mutations and sub-varieties produced by Busse over the years this is very understandable. I typically give the Seller the benefit of the doubt and just send him a PM letting him know, without jacking up his sales thread. I rarely follow up if nothing is done to correct it, figuring if the Seller is that uninformed and unconcerned with his own rep, he’s probably not a Busse guy and will not be around long anyway.

That said, hopefully this thread is a good example to newbie Buyers on the Exchange. Always do your homework and when you’re not sure, ask. Doesn’t hurt to check a Seller’s trading history, also, to see what kind of background he has, specifically with selling Busse’s.

I agree somewhat, but since these have only been out of the factory less than 2 weeks every seller on the exchange is the primary buyer from Busse, so they know what they bought. Just seems like capitalizing on TGLB prices, especially since the prices are inflated $200.

You can certainly take it up a level and ask the Seller directly in the sales thread, but I’d shoot the Seller a PM first and give him a chance to correct. I’ve also contacted Moderators to ask what they recommend. They’re usually pretty helpful and appreciate members who use the prescribed remedial procedures.

Thanks Will, I know you have experience and a good reputation as a seller and perpetrator of long threads ;)

Agreed buyer beware, if its to good to be true Ask The Hogs
Honestly the number one thing that impressed me when I was green here is the self policing that we have from the old Hogs
They look after these pages themselves
Respect it and they will cover your butt

There have been a couple times over the years where I posted a correction in someone's for sale thread. I assumed the mistake was an honest one and refrained from making any judgment; I have seen others do the same, and often a seller will say "thank you".

I just posted a correction overon the exchange, next time I’ll just send them a PM.
He is selling it for $650 with sheath or $550 w/o

I don't have an issue with asking price, seller is free to set price. I have issue with lack of transparency and mislabeling the items

I bought 3 knives off the exchange before I was able to ask questions - before I upgraded to gold. As a collector/buyer there is no real benefit. And if you can sell what you have through eBay ect no reason to upgrade here.

I don’t really... but it is priced appropriately for a TGLB

Plus nobody new to Busse would have a clue what Light Brigade really means since they haven’t released a LB model in hmm... idk like forever...so there’s that also. ;) Need a hand in hand side by side comparison education as seeing is believing if you catch my drift!
