What do you do to make paracord grippy?

Unusual question here. While I like the look and practicality of using paracord to wrap the handle area on knives like the Izula, it is somewhat slippery.

Any suggestions of how to make the paracord more grippy?

Folderguy, from what I have been told is that paracord can often feel slippery right when you first use it, but as time goes it will go away and it will be fine. A double knot will help as well

I'd second (third?) the Plasti Dip. I've used it on paracord, cordura sheaths, leather fencing weapon handles, etc. I just grab a cheap foam paint brush, and put on a few coats. The trick, I've found, is to put on the subsequent coats while the first is still a bit tacky.

The Dip will not only add grip, but will stop the cord from shifting, protect it from soaking up dirt, etc.

If you're concerned about moisture getting trapped against the metal, dip the handle first, then wrap, then coat.

Folks, on this knife the paracord just felt too slippery, and I decided to not futz too much with it by dipping it, and so on.

Instead, I wrapped it with twisted leather, which not only provides a sure grip but feels great in the hand.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Thanks, G-Daddy5!

There's a thread I started where I laid out how I did it. Here the link: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=828969
