Ever get those cheese and summer sausage deals for Christmas that come with a small cutting board and one of those crummy little mini cleavers ?
I've gotten a few over the years and it got me wondering what a knife guy would do with the practically useless little knives they come with.
The cutting board can be useful, but the knife not so much and I usually just use them to scrape paint and crap in the garage then eventually throw them away.

Might be cool for some killer doll Halloween costume or something, but other than I find them pretty much useless.

Soft cheese service, warmed Brie with slices of sweet baguette or crackers...Maybe some wine with that...?

I guess you could reshape them but the steel is probably not worth your time. Is it plated or polished, magnetic or not?

Just some poloshed cheap stainless, It is definitely magnetic just pretty much the cheapest thing that can hold an edge long enough to get through the snacks it comes with.

I used to have one in my tackle box for cutting chicken liver to catch striped bass, but I don't remember it holding much of an edge and it got pretty stinky so I eventually threw it away.

I can always get some kind of use out of it, but they will end up I the trash anyway so I'll probably just leave the next one in the box.
Hopefully there isn't a next one though .

Give them to a relative or friend for cheese knives for parties etc..

I also use them as a cheese knife. My daughter thinks they look cute because they are small (and pretty much useless) :)

I can never imagine trying to cut chicken with that kind of a kiddy knife.:D

the small Cattaraugus cleavers are wonderful for scaling bluegill/panfish. just right heft and size. edge is perfect as well. if i cleaned a lot i'd buy backups.

Good little piece of American cutlery, unlike these thin Chinese mystery steel knife like objects.

I think I used one for target practice with my .22 when I was a kid. Parents wouldn't give me any of their small match books. Not even the empty ones.
So far as I know, me mum never noticed it was gone from the kitchen knife drawer. (If she did, she never mentioned it.)

Might just shoot at the next one with one of my 30 airguns.
Probably one of these quality American multi stroke pneumatic beauties.
