...that you'd not dare with another knife:

So this is easy enough. We know we wield knives that are built to withstand more than your average blade. With that said, some of us find we dare to put our Becker knives to the test in ways we have never chanced with another blade.

Please,no judging or "that is just plain abuse" replies (please?) and also, do not use another's post as a "hey, I tried the same thing and ended up stabbing (insert vital body part here) so now I blame you guys" excuse. Sorry for the stipulations.

Here goes mine:

I baton the crud out of my BK9. This has been very useful for extracting fatwood from some old pines. That stuff is the fire starter extreme!

Once we were setting up a tent and I used my BK9 to dislodge a rock from the area where my tent was going to be sitting. My buddy said, "Aren't you afraid of dinging it up or breaking it?" ---"Nope!"

Cutting bone on deer is an easy task with my BK9. It is nice to have one tool for the entire job of harvesting meat. Those leg bones can be a beast on some knives. No need for a saw or hatchet with my mighty 9!

i used my bk 15 (before retirement) for about 2 years batoning splitting cutting you name it.... ive batoned some pretty mighty knotty wood with it and never broken or chipped or anything.... very impressive for a small very thin knife...

Never would I treat a knife like I have a Becker. Chopping down small unwanted trees, branches, and basic campfire prep. I feel much safer splitting logs when needed and sometimes for the heck of it with a knife and baton than I do with a hatchet :D. I have broken knives before doing way less than what a Becker can do all day and still have a good edge .I have never put a bend like some here have I won't mention names but it is truly amazing how they snapped right back and not snap in half . That to me says a lot :D Amazingly Tough Knives! Great Design and Great Heat Treat
