What do you do with your knives?

What do you do with your collection when you are NOT using them? Pile them in a safe, hang them on a wall, shove them in a drawer? How do you store or display your knives? Just wondering what people are doing. Mine are just piled up in the safe, seems like a waste. I am considering building some sort of display. Thoughts?
 
Oddly I am out of space so I keep almost all my large choppers in a backpack in there sheaths oiled. Many are under my bed, in my closet, my cabinet or my safe. Most of my expensive folders and non-user blades are in the safe if I have room. Guns keep most of the safe space though. I was thinking of getting one of those HUGE tool chests with the fridge and the radio in it so I never have to leave my mancave:D
 
I keep mine in a big toolbox or leave my favorite users in my rucksac for the next weekend I get to go out with them. You can usually find the odd errant blade lounging about on a shelf or side table though, nice to have a piece of infi close to hand tofondle at will.
 
The ones that aren't in handy places or on me live in a locked display case.
 
Mine are either HERE or in the safe. I need some more trays/containers if I'm going to add anything more to the safe.

Mine are scattered about the house or in a drawer, when I stop renting and purchase a house I will purchase a safe.
 
I have them in a safe as well but am running out of room. I need another shelf in there.
 
I use mine to occasionlly titillate and excite a few people who just happen to be missing just one knife to complete their collections.

Some times I take ten or twelve to some deserving Grunt about to ship out to pick through before they Deploy, one each please.

I use them as a club(the inheritance factor) to get my(adult) kids to behave.
 
I am currently in the process of buying a house. So When I get My MAN CAVE I will build a little SHRINE to the INFI HOG GOD!!!:D:D:thumbup::thumbup:

I keep mine in a utility toolbox, the kind with the drawers, and have no complaints. It's much better than stacking them in a box.
 
I use all of my knives on a daily basis, only way to give 'em love! I buy to use because I cannot afford to have 'display knives'; as much as I enjoy seeing other people's cases and beautiful presentation displays. So I tend to get nicer than average scales to increase my user enjoyment.
 
I have a wooden "collector's" toolbox with drawers I keep some of mine in. Some are in the safe, some are in the drawer of our coffee table, some are in my office, and some are in my various packs. They're everywhere!

I have my fixed blades in a dresser drawer. All my folders I keep in a gun carry case.
 
They're all over the place, mostly lying on their sides in various drawers and on random tables. Not pretty, but it's not like they'll suffer from such treatment. :D
 
I have display cabinets built into my house but they are taken up with shooting memorabilia from competitions....over here displaying knives might create a weird reaction from many...I tend to use draws in my bedroom but the collection is growing out of those presently "ear marked" for this use....and there are a good many now around the house generally which I should tidy up.:rolleyes::D
 
I own folders mostly and not a huge collection. I bought an old file cabinet with lockable drawers and keep 'em in their original boxes. The key always goes on my key ring and an extra somewhere else...:cool:
