Hi, Fellas. I notice many of us carry Spy capsules, and Id be interested to know what you tote in yours?
I carry a marvelous little egg-sized one called a Nutkase, really designed to carry the locknut for your alloy wheels (Car crime in Manchester is awful! Some piece of pondlife stole my Kenwood headunit the other day after screwdrivering my car lock! & I had the removable fascia with me!)
Inside the Kase:-
£20 Note
Loose change for phone boxes
Anti-Histamines
Painkillers
Sewing Kit
Small spool of dental floss
Safety pins
Scalpel blade
Condom (Strawberry flavoured! :p )
4 Strike anywhere matches & striker in vial)
Flint rod
Spare bulb for Mag Solitaire
Couple of breathmints
Eyeglass screwdriver
Tweezers from SAK

Any variations on this theme? I have two other Nutkases which Im gonna usefor different scenarios, obviously the above is not really an "outdoorsy" one but more for city-use.

Cheers

I have the military issue in OD green. It features (like yours :) ) pain killers, plaster, Dextro tablettes, compass, needle and thread and small change.

I had to do a search to see what those things are--so it's safe to say I don't carry anything in one. Neat idea, though.

I have one like they sell at survival keychain, a large green one. I stopped carrying it when it came unscrewed from the top and fell to the ground (I carried it with my keys, on a carabiner on my belt loop) scattering all the contents. Not once, but twice. Lucikly I wasn't carrying any prescription meds or anything valuable, just OTC allergy meds. Still that was enough to change my mind. Now I carry a small plastic pill box in my side pouch. Much smaller, less fuss, only about .60 at The Container Store.

I had this happen once. I just put a single wrap of electrical tape around the seam. Now I don't worry about it. I carry 3 aspirine and 3 ibiprofen in mine.

The Nutkase has a very, very long thread so I dont see it coming undone easily! Although, Im embarrassed to say as I was walking round Sainsburys this morning "jingling" my keys, it DID come off the large split ring keyring, so a re-think on large keyring was needed. I put a couple of pieces of shrink wrap tubing over the "opening" to the ring!
May also put a ranger band round the nutkase, just to make sure! LOL

I so much miss the weird sandwiches one finds in Sainsbury. Can't seem to find them anywhere else in the world

Doesn't the nutcase have an O ring? If so get a thicker one and your unscrewing problems will be solved.

Deja vu.

I carry a couple of the small "spy Capsules" Ryan was sellin a while back with script meds in them, a few days worth, for those JIC times.

Have a few in kits with matches (larger capsules) and Vasalined cotton balls in samller ones.

Wish I'da bought up a few more.

Thinking about getting the TAD one, or having a buddy w/a machine shop make me one very similar but with some personal mods.

What do you EDC in "Spy Capsules"?

Two roles of microfilm, enough plastic explosives to blow the door on a typical office safe, a combination night-vision/x-ray monocular, and a cyanide pill.
