I have had several and I find it kind of hard to try to figure out what type of handle to put on it ,it seems that it's a little awkward shapewise to put any kind of scales on it.That being said ,I still love the steel exposure that it gives you ,something that you would be hard pressed to be able to do on your own.

I've been using the ready to go scales from Halpern Titanium and that has turned into a really great experience. They aren't as pretty as a beautiful wood hand fitted set but they work perfectly, everytime.

I did not know where to start on how to make handles for the mules so I contacted a couple of maker here to provide some that were removable. After the third one came out I started making my own permanent ones. What a blast, and only minimal tools. Sure has been a great opportunity to learn new skills.

I've put carbon fiber on a couple of mine, but mostly I just wrap them with cord and carry them at work for testing. It's interesting to see how the various steels hold up in the real world.
