No experience, but I know Falkniven is a great company. I personally like the looks of the TK4 :). I think it would be a great gents knife.

Superb. If the specs are good for you (blade length, closed length, weight, etc.), I'd say go for it! :)

Love their SG Supersteel. IIRC, these TK4s have it. I like the one with Cocobolo handles.

Sure does. Here are all the specs:

Mod. TK4
Total length: 6.5" (165 mm)
Length folded: 3.8" (97 mm)
Blade length: 2.76" (70 mm)
Blade thickness: 0.12" (3 mm)
Weigth: 50 g (1.8) oz
Steel: 3G
Hardness (edge): 62 HRC
Handle material: Zytel
Pouch: Black cordura

:)

when closed, the corner of the blade that sticks out is pretty sharp and annoying for pocket carry.. other than that, it's a decent knife.

"Length folded: 3.8" (97 mm) "

This blows it out of the water...for my use. I cannot hang onto a small Sebenza, and that is almost 4" folded.
If this fits YOUR hand, and you like that type of "back-lock) (whatever), then it's fine.
The maker has a good name, for sure.

I can just manage the Small Sebenza with my medium-sized hand. But anything shorter than that gets sketchy in a hurry.

Just make sure you can return the knife if it's too small for your hand. Several sites lists various lengths, so it's hard to tell.
Good luck.

I have one(TK4), and freaking love the thing. Plenty of knife, and you can barely tell its in pocket.

I can get four fingers on the handle better than I can a small Sebenza. Your index finger can go further up the handle than on a Sebenza, and is why I can get a full four finger grip on it. The handle has a great texture, and is also rounded off making it very comfortable.

Super lightweight for what you get. I don't know all that much about Ray Mears, but he has used it a lot in his Bushcraft vids.

It looks much better open, but this pic is all I have on hand. Another great knife(IMO) bellow it, a Small Moki Fish Owl.
