This thing looks like it could be a response to the new junglas by Esee knives. I think it looks like a really good chopper. Just want your opinion on it. At it's MSRP, it looks like it will come out at around the same price. But it's got a longer+thicker blade.

Carrying around a monster when you could have the same cutting power in lighter, more agile tool, is unnecessary work.
 
tops has been making big knives for a long time, so it seems unlikely to me it is a response to esee products.

looks good though.

I just looked at the pictures, particularly the one in hand. I think that handle is too small. The hand they show barely fits. I don't know how large a hand it is, but if it's average, I would not be comfortable chopping with that knife.
 
From what I can gather from the photos and description I would concider this a serious combat knife. I have not had the pleasure of hefting it and would reserve further judgement until then. On a lighter note....Thanks "onehellofa" great looking blade man!!
 
I did'nt look at the pics of in hand closeups, and it does'nt look like it would be very comfy. The handles are too square looking.
Like Esav said there are better knives out there. Good call Esav, :thumbup:
