Hey guys, I have been collecting knives since I was about 6 years old (that's when I got my first knife/cut myself). This is what I have now. I didn't include 5 knifes because 2 of them are in my car, 2 are on my keys and one was just on my counter during the photos for some reason. Let me know what you guys think :D

Here is the album, so I don't have to re-size every picture xD

If you have any questions about specific knives just let me know :D

Not bad so far. I started out like you, but I didn't know about Spyderco or Benchmade for a while! Stick with the good companies, like Becker/Kabar, Benchmade, Spyderco, and OKC, and you will be set. I also see some older Scout knives and a Kabar. Neat.

The little knife with the LED on the end on the far left just above the Spydercos.....I found one of those in some storage boxes just the other day. Funny seeing another one on the net.

Nice mix of utility pieces and collectibles. What direction are you headed currently with your likes?

Well until recently, I didn't really have any idea about high end knife companies such as spyderco, benchmade, kershaw etc... So now I'm focusing on buying mostly those kind of knives. The whole bottom row are ones that were recently purchased. I use the Spyderco Sage, buck vantage pro and the spyderco delica for EDC.

Nice start, SAK's are always useful little blades. Glad to see you've discovered the more dedicated EDC options and are moving in that direction.

Yeah, I got the scout knives and the Kabar from my grandfather. The Kabar was actually the one he used during WWII.

Smiles....I wonder...do all knife collectors (myself included) start with an injury at an early age? I think you'll find that once you will exhaust your appetite for production blades, then you will desire customs. At least I did.
Tell me your opinon of the Vantage, please. It seems like a good edc to me, but I dont own one. My edc is a Spyderco Tenacious.

I have to say, I love the Buck Vantage Pro. I have the small version and it works great. It didn't come razor sharp from the factory like my Sage and Delica did though, so I had to touch it up a bit. This knife model however originally had some blade centering issues, but I heard that buck fixed them (which was why I ordered mine). The blade came perfectly centered. I like the aesthetics of the G10 handles, the S30V blade steel and the flipper design. Overall I think that it's a great EDC blade.

Also, I still have the scar from my first cut. I actually did it when I was 5 (it says the date on the knife I cut myself with). I still don't really understand why my parents bought me a SAK when I was that age...but whatever

I was 7 when my father gave me a cheap swiss knock off. I don't have that one still, but I cherish the fact that he gave me such a useful gift. I firmly believe that I collect knives to this day because it signifies that gift. Later in life, I became a tool and die maker, and made cutting tools for a living. Now, I am a turf maintenance equipment manager in the golf industry working for the PGA, and I continue to work with blades on a daily basis. Funny how life goes.

SAKS and spydies - can't go wrong there. Keep up the slip joints too. The tradtional forum is the place to go for info. Also, I think you would like alox SAKS.
