+3.

Do a search on "Mouse" and you'll find a ton of reviews. I don't think I've seen a bad one.

I have a couple of them. If I were in a situation where I was forced to confine myself to carrying a sub 2" blade, one of them would become my EDC. As things stand, there are just too many things where the ultra short blade puts them at a disadvantage, try cutting even a moderate size apple in half with one. And, when it comes to an "occasional use" key ring knife, I prefer the lighter weight, smaller size, and less damage prone handles of my micarta Jester.

All I can say is, I kick myself for not buying one when I could I always loved the thing
:(

Luckily Blade-tech is making them now.

Everybody loves the Mouse. I like Bladetech's even more (S30V and G-10 is a winning combination from the very start), except for that pear shaped hole ;)

I have a Spyderco Mouse with the round hole and I couldn't imagine going to the pear shaped hole. I love the idea of a flat ground S30 blade and a G-10 handle but I can't reconcile myself to that opening hole shape. :(

Blade Tech is also now selling a 440C version for under 40.00. Called the light weight it has a simple synthetic handle and yes does sport the pear shape opener.

Despite this I have read some very good reviews on the Wegner's from Blade Tech.

I have both the Spyderco version and the Lite version of the Mouse from Blade Tech. Steel on the Lite version is 440C. It was sharp out of the box and I haven't had to sharpen it yet, but haven't used either for much more than opening boxes and stuff.

No problem with the pear shaped opening hole. Works as well as my Spyderco. Don't really notice a difference in use actually.

I like the Lite so well I am planning on ordering the S30 steel verison to get a better blade material. I'll keep the Spyderco one in the drawer I guess since they are tough to find anymore.

Anyways.........I recommend them both! :)

The Mouse-lite is my office EDC now, since our regional manager banned pocket knives from all of his stores. The 440c takes a great edge and seems to last just as long as my ATS-55 Delica. I have absolutely no problems with the opening hole.

Had a brand spanking new Mouse pass through my hands about a year ago, and I wish I wouldn't have swapped it off. Excellent little knife, and would have made a perfect EDC. I may have to check out the Bladetech version.

Have four of the little critters. Bought them directly from Tim after he casually told me he had heard of one hunter using a Mouse to skin and field dress a moose. Lots of belly for a little knife. Blade-tech has the Mouse 2 and the Hunters. I hadn't been to the site for a while and was pleasantly pleased to see a Mose 2 Lite (manufactured in Japan under Blade-Tech's standards) being offered.
Mouse Lite

The handle is textured FRN and cost is only $37.95.....!!!

I live in the city and the Mouse II by Wegner in G10/S30 is perfect. It is even considered "cute" by sheeple onlookers and with all that belly may really field dress big game in a pinch.
