is there a way to search on this forum so im not reposting stuff?

Yeah there's a way. Become a basic member. As for the knife it looks ok I'm just not into CS.

Jm138, welcome to Bladeforums! :)

You do need to be a paid member to use the Bladeforums search, but you can use Google by inputting your search terms followed by site:Bladeforums.com.

Don't let these cynical old men discourage you with their anti-Cold Steel grumblings. Lynn Thompson is flamboyant enough to have alienated many of us, but that has nothing to do with the knives he sells.

The knife. It's a classic fighter, all right. Not a style I deal with, so I can't say much more than that.

Speak for yourself! :foot:

I have nothing against the company, they just don't produce any designs that appeal to me.

i think they make a pretty solid knife for the price... as for the sheath question, it fits great, it "pops" in securely and you can strap it too if you want. takes quite a bit of force to pull it out

thanks!

I always liked the looks of that knife, but I wouldn't have much use for it. I think it is a good value for the cost.

Cold steel makes some nice knives for the money, but I really don't like this knife style too much. I don't think I would have much use for it.

I used to like the look of those, but then I examined one at blade: seemed kind of cheap with a small plastic handle. Flimsy

Still, no thanks, looks uncomfortable.

GW, that's because it's a fighter. The grip is for security and control... For SHORT periods of time. Historically, knife fight's would usually last around the same as fist fights. Considering both opponents physically equal, prominant control and "economy of motion" are usually the upper hand factors of duels. Hence was born, the Sub-Hilt fighter.

ofcourse you dont have much use for it... unless you happen to have it on you when somone is trying to kill you. its just cool to have around , or maybe bring it if youre walking around late at night.

blade pattern is cool with me but for the use of an integral kraton hand-guard handle setup just plain stinks!
btw, the early Taiwan batches had low-end stainless steel.
believe there were more desirable black coated carbon-V varients later.

It sounds like you got a pretty good bargain. I'm more into small folders but that's a pretty cool looking fixed blade knife.

I really don't have anything against Cold Steel but they get a lot of negative reaction on this forum. If Cold Steel made some nice small folders I would consider them.
