:thumbup:I seen the ad in Blade magazine. They're not out yet,but I'll definately be picking one up when they are.3"AUS-8 CE blade with a framelock,pliers/wire cutters & two screwdriver bits. All folds up neatly like a regular folder with a pocket clip.I usually carry an old leatherman(15yrs) in the leather case on my belt.More than a few times it seemed cumbersome/uncomfortable,especially sitting in the car for long periods of time(I drive for a living). Most of the time I only use the pliers/wirecutters,knife & screwdrivers,so this'll be a nice change. Can't remember ever using the saw, file & other gagets on my LM.Plus it'll be alot more explainable as a tool in those knife sensitive areas to a LEO;).These guys have some pretty cool stuff. What do you guys think?:)

The only Toollogic knife I have is the SL Pro which I received as a gift. Unfortunately, I don't like it. It is a little too big for my hands (I have small hands). This new tool looks bigger than the SL Pro so it rules it out for me. I also don't like the combi edge blade or chisel grinds. I'll stick with my Leatherman Skeletool.

Interesting design. I don't know if the plastic handles will be durable enough in moderately heavy use though. I'll take a wait and see attitude on this one and see what you guys find wrong or right with it. Hehe. Its why I love sticking around this place. Saves me lots of time and money.

:confused:Plastic handles?Where did you see that? This is from the link..."Solid Steel Body with Zytel Overlay"

It doesn't look too bad at all, but I think I'll stick with my Skeletool for my knife/plier needs. If I ever feel underknifed with the Skele, I always have my Buck Xtract. The pliers aren't as nice, but the main blade is plenty big and well done.

In their ad, Tool Logic mentions twice that the knife has "AUS 8A type stainless steel." I'm guessing that "type" probably means it is 8cr13, as it has similar properties to AUS 8A. I'm also guessing that this knife/tool is made in China.

Good point.I didn't realize they were allowed to do that.Food for thought.Guess I'll research it a little more, before I run out & buy one.
Thanks 3Guardsmen:thumbup:

No problem, JTR357. Glad to be of assistance. It does look kind of neat, but sometimes it's better to inspect 'em first. Good Luck.:)

That does look like a nice form factor and will give the regular skeletool some competition. I like the look better than the skeletool. That blade profile has a strong resemblance to the Spyderco Native.

However, I really like the removable screwdriver bits that the skeletool uses-- more versatile and if/when you eventually strip one, it can be easily replaced, unlike on the toollogic.

It will be interesting to see what else comes out that is similar.
