A mini-Busman, with a kydex shealth for every day carry? I like the big verstion of it...its simple, and sturdy.

How do you guys feel a bout that. One you can beat on, take some abuse...replace it easy.

Oh and thanks to you guys, my knive collection is starting to outnumber my sword collection. :D

Don't worry about it until your knife collection starts to outweigh your sword collection. :)

I wouldn't find a fixed blade like that very convenient for me as EDC. I usually carry a folder, under 4" blade. But the Bushman is a fine design, great for light hiking and as a camp knife.

The Bushman is Okay, and the price is good, but I'd want something a little more ergonomic and less cheap looking.
Have you thought about a mini K-Bar or small Camillus CQB?
both are excellent knives, and there are many others that fall into that category also that are very inexpensive.
Also, forget about Kydex, that knife is all about cheap.

This conversation got me thinking about cheap knives and their place in the world. I think there is very definitely a place for cheap knives. Obviously you don't want to be carrying some cheap piece of s**t out in the bush where you might be depending on it they can be handy to have around home or in the shed or wherever.

Recently I had to fix one of my pumps and I needed something like a knife point to get into a crack in the metal housing and do a bit of scraping. Now, I wasn't going to use my nice new custom knife for that so I got an old cheapie and it did the trick. Tip got a little twisted but no big deal.
