When and where is the OKC show? I live in OKC and knew nothing about it.
THANKS!!! By the way COOL KNIFE!!!!!

Amazing how you carved my exact likeness into the butt cap of that knife! Seriously, that's a very nice piece. The damascus pattern is terrific and I have always been fond of wrought iron fittings. Can't ever go wrong with a nice piece of stag on a bowie, IMHO. Good stuff.

Roger

Now THAT, my friend, is looking good! :D

Love the steel and the overall lines of it. And I don't know of any maker that does with wrought iron, what you do. I need to learn that from you.

I don't have a table, but hopefully will get to go down and maybe buy you and STeven a drink :D

My biggest critique... your thread title ding dong... It's the OKCA (Oregon Knife Collectors' Association) show!!! :p

It's in Eugene, OR at the fairgrounds BTW.

Hope to see 'ya Dave!!! :)

That's too funny Roger. :D :D
But seriously Dave, I have developed quite an appreciation for damascus as demonstrated by my collection and I'm very impressed by all yours shared so far.

To celebrate the making of all these sheaths over the last couple weeks I will be lighting up the forge shortly.

I'll be at a new table location this year, H08.

Terrific Shot!
lets see now I'll take the Stag S guard at 10"Oclock and Curly at 6:30

A ladder pattern and macassar ebony with an acorn themed sheath.

A small 52100 EDC with Gold leaf inlaid fern sheath.

A random damascus with mammoth ivory and MOP scales, as well as, a faux mammoth fur sheath with talon and beadwork.

All three sheaths were made by Mike Tully.

OK Ray looks like your buying lunch all those knives wow, Scott thanks for jumping in those look good.

Dave, I have always liked halfpenny S-guards. The stag looks great, and so does the steel.

Ray, that is about as many knives as I have ever seen one maker take to a show.

Dave that bowie needs to be in the competition. Its amazing!

Ray, thats an impressive circle of hand forged blades. Nice sheaths too.

Scott, very cool knives. Isnt this your first show? Im looking forward to seeing you again.

I will be there with our youngest son this year. Its his first knife show. We have a table full of hunters this year that he and I worked on together. Please stop by and check em out. I should have some photos to post here hopefully.

:Yes, this is my first show. I'm getting very excited about it. I'm probably as excited as your son. I'll definitely be by your table, as I'm a fan of your knives.

My wife is coming also. I'm looking forward to introducing her to you. Please come by my table also and give me an honest, unvarnished critique of my knives. Some of them are older ones that I had kept for a while. I'm much happier with the knives I've been making lately though. I've learned quite a lot in the past two years or so.

Are you sure you want a critique after all this talk lately? :D
I would like to meet your wife, she must be special to spend 3 days at a knife show. Mine doesnt think its romantic anymore. We spent 3 anniversaries at the Missoula Show. I cant think of a better place to celebrate it.

I'm thick skinned. Plus, I want to improve. The knives I've made with an overabundance of pins are something that most people don't like. I've learned that and have a few left that I'm bringing. However, every once in a while someone loves all the pins, and just has to have the knife. I've changed from making those, especially since I began forging more of my knives.

Just be kind, which I know you will be. But don't be shy, because I've got a long way to go.
