I’m still looking for that perfect folding EDC. I thought I had it narrowed down then someone mentioned Emerson knives (www.emerson.com). They have several that would fit the bill for me nicely, though a bit pricy. I’m looking mostly at the Mini Commander of the Police Sark; from their “new” knives I like the Endeavor and the Traveler. What do you think of Emerson? Any thoughts on the “wave” opening system?
Thanks

Lots of people love em, lots of people hate them. I always seem to get one them find some reason to see them off just a quickly. I've had both a Commander and a Mini Commander, just never liked how it cuts. That in mind I do like the CqC's. The Wave feature is a great thing on the knife. Just pull it from the pocket with click it's open. But be prepaired to buy some new pants the Wave can eat a hole though them real quick. If you want more info go to the Emerson forum under Manufactures and you can some great help there.

If your interested in getting one I suggest keeping an eye out on the sale forums. You should be able to find one at a much better price. Good luck.

ummmm....that link goes to a deep sea thermal insulation company...nice guess tho!

I'm an emerson fan..they are great knives. They are tough, hard use knives. Some people don't like the chisel grind, but it doesn't bug me. They have thick blades and good ergonomics, they are good stuff. Jsut so you know, the Emerson hard wear knives are made in Japan, and aren't full emerosnknives..more like the cheaper knives.

Prices, you can get a mini cqc7 for $80...look at some of the dealers, froogle it, eBay, just keep your eyes open.
