What do you pack in your hollow-handled survival knife?

I have a couple of these hollow-handled survival knives.

They are mostly hollow, meaning not filled with survival stuff.

Now what are the essentials that are a "must" for survival knives.

I already have the compass in the butt-cap.

What else?

The space is limited. Let's not include anything bigger than a fully-grown grasshopper. :D

I have Managed to fit the following into mt CRK Aviator

1 small 1/16" Crock Stick
1 1/8" x 1 1/2" Ferrocium Rod
25' 14# Spider Wire
4 Split Shot
4 Hooks
2 15# Snap Swivels
5 Cotton Balls
Button Compass (dont remember the brand)

I also have a mountaineer 2 That holds alot more.

The only one I actually stuffed is a CS Bushman used for whitewater trips (when I don't want a $300+ knife to head for the bottom). To a close approximation of Caliban_22's list I added some snare wire and a couple small screws/nails (for attaching the Bushman to a shaft). I sealed the forward opening with a fitted piece of candle. I can also wedge a small lighter in there, if desired.

First of all I'd take a reliable waterproof method of making fire. Something small like those little "Spark-lite" fire starters would be good. Waterproof, small and can also be used easily with one hand in case you are injured.

Id also suggest that you try to find a way to include some cord of some discription. Obviously it will have to be pretty low gage but even a fairly short length could be helpful in rigging some kind of shelter and if you get paracord of some kind you can unfurl it and have more lengths of lighter gage cord.

A basic fishing rig doesn't take up much space and should probably be included.

I'd also toss in a few water purification tablets and a condom or something else that could be used as an emergency water bladder.

One more thing...if there is anyway you can include somekind of signal mirror and whistle I'd try to fit these in as well.
