Interested in hearing people's plans regarding thier new BK10? Are you going to strip it, use it, save it???? I recently ordered some hardwood handles for my BK 2 (a nice set of bloodwood handles) so I am planning on stripping and either doing a mirror polish or patina...depending on how this turns out I am seriously considering doing the same for my BK 10 as it will be a user and I'd like it to be customized a little to suit my meeds/taste. I understand peoples idea's of saving/storage of blades but I like to use them as they were intended. Post your plans and lets see what great ideas are out there.

Even in the process of planning the first hiking trip of the year to test it out....gonna be a short one as I need to get my fat a$$ back in shape and the dog could use a walk too...lol

Get a second in a couple months, didn't want to be too greedy first time around, LOL!!!!!!!! This one I am going to strip, reprifile the handle, drop the point, ala BK12, and I have been holding onto a pair of black linen micarta slabs I plan on permanently attaching with micarta pins and epoxy.

I know your not supposed to play with knives but I'm going to play with mine when I get it. I might even run while holding it.

I am going to turn it into a bowie, shave down the ramp a little and add some file work along the spine, hand patina or gun blue and custom micarta scales.
I can't wait

Gonna sharpen it on the KME and that's it. I have a spec ops sheath & Micarta scales for it but might wait a while to put them on. Not even gonna put stainless hardware on it.

I was going to prep some food for grillin' with a Miller time this weekend, Since there was no shipping email from Tomars , I guess my 10 is one of those with no sheath.

First off, I'll convex it and slap on some micarta handles. Then I have a fatwood trunk that I think is ready, so I'll break it in busting up that stump and retrieving some fatwood.

I'm gonna acid etch the logo to make it deeper, strip the paint off, force a patina, and put the micarta scales on when I'm done.

Edit: oh and new pants... got some leather pants coming for the 10 :D
