...you can't afford a Busse.

In general I prefer mid carbon steels. But living in a third world country makes it so difficult to afford a Busse.

Even though I prefer mid carbon steels there are other things that matter like consistency in heat treat. One manufacturer comes to mind.. Esee. I have enough Busse's but if I couldn't afford one thats what I would buy.

Wanted to share this after my second glass of bubbles with my wife. 😀

If I can’t afford Busse Combat, then I’m looking to Swamp Rat.
If I can’t afford Swamp Rat, then I’m looking to Scrap Yard.
If I can’t afford Scrap Yard, then I’m looking to save money.
Hahaha... good one!

Easy, Our very own Bill Siegle makes an exceptional knife!

It’s not that I “can’t” afford a Busse, but I decided to stretch my $$ and I currently own several Scrap Yards and Swamp Rats, AND a custom by Bill Siegle.

I’ll likely get a Busse at some point too, just haven’t decided on the model yet…

Bill siegle does fine work, ive got a few.
Becker and ESEE are also great knives.
I consider myself a hard ish user of knives, in a bush crafty way and I don't see all that much difference in performance between bussekin or the others noted above. They are all good.

The Busse line is my choice hands down but If money is a issue I would recommend the Becker line from K-Bar. They are some very solid blades at very a good price. I have 20+ Beckers and they have never let me down. The BK9 is the King of the line. The Bk21 and BK7 are my favorite of the ones that are currently available.

What do I prefer if I can't afford a Busse? I prefer to wait until I can afford a Busse.
