What do you put inside......

As some of you might know, I got a Shadow IV coming in a few weeks. My "Q" is this; What do you guys put inside the handle of your one-pice FB ...-and does anyone know if a INOVA X1 will fit in there?

Hi ALIass,

In my opinion it depends highly on the purpose of the knife.

If you plan to carry it around town maybe some money, some cord, band-aid, tiny torch, small pencil ...

Out in the wild: cord, fire starter - cotton wool, compass, plastic bag, fishing line, fish hooks, scalpel ...

... and in your special case: some clothes! ;)

Ham. Snacking ham to be specific.

Seriously though, I've been wondering what the best thing to put in my Project 1 would be. Maybe a very small sharpening rod or firesteel. You would want to put something in that "tube" that is associated with the knife.

I know what you meen. that´s why I want a small flashlight in there. I often go into the woods when at work. In there, all I need is a light, fire and my blade! (no clothes!!)

An Arc AAA and a firesteel and some tinder should fit. In a survival situation, definitely fire-making materials. You can fake anything else. On a short hike, maybe some beef jerky :)
