I'm definitely getting the feeling this is one of those knock offs you'd find on eBay and is not an actual Boker or Boker Plus model. I could be wrong, but I'd say it's a good one to avoid.

Quality is difficult to determine just from this pic with no specs. Design-wise I don't like partially serrated and the handle design isn't really my thing. But that's my completely subjective personal preference.

Boker Plus makes a lot of good knives though. If you like whatever the specs are and the knife looks nice to you, that's all you really need.

Looks like a fake to me
Tree logo on a Boker Plus knife, idk about that
And I havent seen that knife anywhere in their catalog
The cheesy Air Force inlay is suspicious as well

I will skip this air force knife because I didn't even liked it I just wanted your opinion because it looked suspicious

Just a heads up, your first link sends you to a porn site that's prompting automatic downloads on mobile.

Interesting... maybe it changed since I clicked on it a couple hours ago but all I got was a pic of the knife.

Of course that could be porn to some people on the forums here, no doubt. ;)

halo33,

If you want something good from Boker/Boker Plus just visit their site or download an official catalog. When you find one you like that you know is from their line you can search for it online through dealers if that is your preference. Lowers the chances of getting a crappy fake.

Actually two things come to mind right about now..
The first is that you need to start trying to find yourself an image host that isn't loaded with porn and other garbage. Maybe you can try to use photobucket or imgur for starters. Second, I have no love for Boker. There are far too many knock off designs produced by them off shore for me to even consider them for any purchase. I own a grand total of 1 Boker knife, it's the Chad Los Banos designed Subcom.

Same here, I'd like to try one, but this has always stopped me. I have limited money, I just see more value elsewhere.

I have no problems with their German Boker knives, except that their are some that slip out with not so good craftsmanship, and for the money they should be near perfect. The last German Boker I got, an Arctos XL, was as perfect as a folder can be, and I really enjoy carrying it in my edc rotation. The two Boker Plus knives I have, an Epicenter, and a PSK, are also very nice knives. Their are several of the Boker and Boker Plus knives I contemplate buying this year and I have to say that I am very pleased with what I have gotten. Of course I buy the majority of my knives online and always use one of the BF dealers, so I am not afraid of getting a counterfeit knife.

The Magnum knife line I don't really know about, but I have never had one and do not plan to purchase one. I will say that the Magnum lineup has a few knives whose design's I really like and do wish that these were available in the Boker Plus lineup with the better materials and QC that would entail.

RevDevil, this is the second time in the past week I have read something about Boker being involved in off-shore counterfeiting of some knife design's. Can you give me a link where I could read more about this? Many thanks!

I have several knives from the Boker Plus line, and have not been less than happy with any of them. Just off the top of my head, the Dark Hollow, Mini Vanquish, Resurrection 2nd Generation, Manaro, S-2, and the Kalashnikov 65 year Anniversary Knife, All Great Knives.

I like the Solingen-made carbon steel Boker 'Tree Brand' slipjoints. Good steel, come pretty sharp out of box, elegant traditional designs, good craftsmanship with just a few small flaws (enough to show hand assembly but caring QC).

I got tricked by a "Made in Solingen" Boker Plus at a gun show. Sure enough, it turned out to be fake, and although it looked and felt really nice, the actual build quality was horrible. If it had been a proper Boker (Plus or not) and of decent workmanship, it would have been a great EDC knife. Even as I was handing over $40 for it, I had this sneaking suspicion that something was wrong, but I just chalked it up to my inexperience with the brand and the need for a bit of break-in. Well, after disassembling and reassembling it numerous times in an effort to get smooth opening, solid lockup and decent centering, I finally threw it away. Terrible.

Meanwhile, the only other Bokers I have are a Boker Plus Armed Forces fixed blade which is fine for what it is, and a Solingen-made Badger Gemini folder that is of fine quality but pretty unimpressive compared to other folders that cost less.

in my experience Boker Plus is really decent quality. I own the Vox Rhino and Albatross ($68...$95) and the QA on those are as good was better than my Tenacious and Byrd Raven. However I recently picked up some Boker Stockman Congress made in Germany, it even said "Tree Brand" on the blade. it cost about $30 and it was pretty underwhelming. It was made in Germany but didn't say Solingen. The old rule applies... you get what you pay for.
