What do you think about the folders blade thickness?

So how about the blade thickness on the upcoming folder! What thickness do you think will be ideal?
I think at least 5/32 or if ground right 3/16 would be awesome for the "strongest folder in the world". I really hope it is thicker than 1/8 as 1/8 is not much thicker than sheet metal!:barf:

How about 5/32"? INFI is tough stuff, no need to over do it.
1/4" or thicker, count me out. Of course YMMV!

1/4" Hell yeah!! 5/16" HELL YEAH :D A folder blade doesn't need to be anywhere near that thick, but I sure would love it :D :D

Oh by the way I'd like to order my without a clip, maybe a sheath with a 3" belt loop if possible. Hmmm, let's see nice dress outfit and a 3" duty belt should hold that bad boy up :)


If this doesn't make up for my "lacking" in the personal department, I don't know what will........
 
5/32" (about 0.150" stock) all the way! :D :cool:

IMHO, one of the best compromises between durability and efficiency.

That's not to say I would turn down 5/16" :p
 
I'll put another vote in for 5/16":D:D:D

...but 3/16" might be more practical for all you lightweights:p
 
5/16ths? Good grief, that's pretty thick for the liner, especially when it'll be on both sides... Oh wait, you were talking about the blade. Never mind. :p

I could go either way. I was thinking about another stout blade, then Jerry starts teasing us about the new one, what was the name, active duty, I think. But it really looks great, now I can't decide!
 
I couldn't care less if it were .100" or .500" so long as we get it soon.

It's all ok, once I've got a Busse folder in my pocket with a 1" thick blade and 5/16" liners, I'll have them lined up at my door :) Put a gentle recurve on the baby and LOOK OUT....who knows what could happen :D :D :D
 
So how wide is the blade going to be?? I say at least as wide as a BM or SH! Close to 2 inches would be great, makes for a long hard life!!!:D
