What do you think about this homemade burner?

Dear all, after playing, trying and lots of learning from you guys, I tried it the simple way (I was watching Raymond Richard's topic and had some spare time) and could not believe it: The burner works great! Without tuning, without blower and no reducing bells – the primitive beast is burning!
First, I want to thank you all again: This forum is great and there are lots of nice gentlemen here who want to help. I will appreciate your advice here – as you can see from the (poor) pictures, the burning procedure (nat. gas) takes place inside the tee. Is this a problem? How is it that this simple burner gives such a nice big blue flame, while tuning the other burners with the blower and without was impossible? Will it be smart to try and combine the blower now? If so – what will be the best way?
All the best to you all, Michael.

I can't really advise about venturi type NG burners, but I have heard it does not work well due to the low pressure of the NG. Larry Zoeller mentions on his site that he has heard it can work, but that gas orifices have to be around twice the size that one would use with propane.

The gas burning in the tee is bad. Your whole burner assembly will overheat, probably enough to make that galvanized tee smoke off and make you SICK. Definitely try to tune it in such a way that it's only burning at the tip. Propane burners do this sometimes, often when the gas pressure is too low. Good luck sir.

Switch out all the galvanized fittings for black iron pipe. Zinc fumes are a serious irritant to many of your bodies organs. The zinc will collect in your tissues over time.
