As for the usefullness I really can't find any but its something I've been wanting to try and there will be more to come. As far as size goes the head is 5 1/4" and the haft is 11 3/4". To scale I'd say its half size but as weight goes its a 1/4 of a normal size one. The haft was made out of a piece of oak and the head at one time was a small demolition pry bar. After I finished the haft I remembered I had some curley maple I could have used so I'll try to remember I have it for the next one. The amount of time spent on making the haft was more than what I had in forging and finishing the head.

Looks like it would be wicked fast in the hand. I like the rough forged finish.

Usually prybars are pretty soft, did you have to forge weld in a cutting bit? How did it harden up after quench and temper?

I was able to get a good hard edge. Judging by the spark I'd say 5 of the bars I got are at least 1080 or even closer to 1095. Several of the pieces that I got were diamond drills that were used to drill concrete by striking them with a small sledge. One is either O-1 or O-2.

is that like a fokos (eastern european walking stick with a small axe head at the top end).

I looked on your website but couldn't find any information on how much you're charging for the small hawk heads. Will they be listed there soon?
